Grand Canyon Update
The Grand Canyon is, in fact, in Arizona (as Arizona so nicely pointed out to me). So I was right. The reasoning behind yesterday's post was I saw on the news that the state of Utah was forking over a bunch of money to keep the Grand Canyon National Park "open." I thought that meant it was in Utah b/c why would they give all that money to Arizona? Maybe other states are generous and I just think that way because I'm from Illinois? The point is, I can still make fun of Relish for thinking Seattle is in Oregon.

in my research.... i don't think UT was being nice.... it has national parks & rivers in common. on Friday, before our Governor announced the state would open the GC for 1 week, UT already had plans on doing the same to their parks and commented that ppl heading down river to GC, would not be allowed, only ppl headed up river (into UT).
SO... no nicey-nice neighborly state fund sharing here. all in the best interest of each other... just like there.
huh, good to know. thanks for doing the research. maybe someday i'll fact check before i post. let's not rush things though...
