20 Days...

is how long I've owned my house, and tomorrow I have to go buy a new washing machine. Awesome. I'm pretty sure I have one picked out, but does anyone have any final quips of wisdom for me?

Also, 20 days is how long it took the dog to figure out how to open the lid to the garbage can. Damn that evil creature for not being dumber.

Sometimes I say the same thing about Tru Stories being too smart. She can open the garbage can too. But she has thumbs.
Go to Sears. Do not get the cheapest. Do not get the most expensive. No reason to have too many bells and whistles. Sears has not let me down with washing & dryer.

Just don't expect a lot from Sears' "beating competition by 10%" deal. It's 10% of the difference.

Kupferschmidts (sp) in Pontiac have unbeatable prices. And, they will service the machines without making you buy an extended warranty.

Sears, Menards, Lowes....all the "big box" stores will tell you that "you are not a priority if you don't buy the extended warranty".....

We get all our appliances from Barton Carroll's in Joliet. It's sweet, they are a 'scratch & dent' place that has the appliances they can't sell in dept. stores b/c of 'damage', but you can't even tell where a scratch or dent is. The price is a ton cheaper on everything. We have a washer/dryer HE's, a new refridgerator, and microwave all of which cheapest husband alive would never dream of buying at regular price. Here is the website. http://www.bartoncarrolls.com/index.html
