The Jameson Distillery. Now you may have heard from someone that this is where I discovered that I like Jameson. This is false. I used to drink whiskey on a, umm, well... I've had whiskey before. Alright I drank it my entire sophomore year in college and got a little sick of it, ok? I just rediscovered it.
Let's start with the weird cat that I thought was a real cat until tour guide lady told us it was a stuffed cat. And by stuffed I mean it used to be alive. Creepy.
I don't believe this barrel could've held whiskey with that big ol' hole.
This was actually interesting. The five barrels show the color change and how much whiskey is lost during the aging process. After three years they are allowed by law to sell it as whiskey, but at Jameson they age it for five because they care.
I love you.
And then we discovered the Church Bar. Yes, it used to be a church and was converted to a bar. And that bust is Arthur Guinness. He got married in Church Bar (when it was just Church).
And there was more Jameson.
And a cute little baby Guinness! (That's not actually Guinness, it's Tia Maria liquor and Baileys... except Daren used Kahlua).
Actually the entire tour was very interesting and our tour guide was funny. Does anybody know the difference between American whiskey, Scotch whiskey and Irish whiskey?

Scotch whiskey is made in Scotland, Irish whiskey is made in Ireland, and American whiskey tastes like crap. Unless it's from Kentucky then it has at least 50% corn and still tastes like crap.
...and then the Kentucky stuff is called bourbon.
I'll assume it was me to which you were referring so I have to ask... sophomore year was it Jameson? or some other cheap ace whiskey?
1. It wasn't just you that said that
2. it wasn't always Jameson b/c I was poor, but sometimes it was.. when I was feeling special :)
The 'I Love you.' line was my favorite part of the entire post.
You've inspired me to go open the bottle of Jameson in my pantry. I hope there's some left in the bottle.
yes..the number of times it's distilled...I was paying attention!!
Irish + 3times = the best
Scotch +2 times = good
American 1 time = they don't care
holla back Doc!
But . . . they are made in their respective country as well!
