I've said something very similar on multiple occasions to both of my daughters, although my line is usually more like "If you (insert activity and/or injury here that is obviously very easily avoided if they would just listen to me), I'm not going to feel sorry for you."
I also like to use extreme threats such as "If you put that whole slice of apple in your mouth without chewing it you could choke on it. And then you might die." The General was not so on board with that tactic but she stopped putting whole apple pieces in her mouth so I say victory for me.
Clearly I'm in no position to judge your questionable tactics. You probably actually learned them from watching me.

It's amazing how often The Mrs ends her sentences to the girls with "...and you will die!"
