You've been known to say Wal Mart is your temple. If I had one guess, I would bet this is your Mecca...

Every day this week, I've driven past the studio of Her Holiness to get to my audit client, which happens to be a mere 3 buildings away. With Oprah in the air this week, and some extra chilly mornings, I've been thinking that you didn't get tickets to Her show this time around because She didn't want you to see Her area of Chicago covered in 2 feet of dirty, rock-hard snow. She doesn't want you have to wear layers upon layers or to slip on an icy corner, break yo' neck, and miss Her show. O is just looking out for you. She knows Her biggest fans can wait. She's saving Her best shows, for Her best fans, for last, for Springtime or Summertime, when Her part of Chicago is pretty, when you don't have to crop out a mountain of snow from the picture of Her studio entrance.

I've had my eye out for Her when I'm out and about or looking out the window, (even though I'm 95% sure She has secret underground tunnels into the house of Harpo. Seriously, that place is like the Willy Wonka factory.) I've probably been rubbing elbows with an assistant or two of Hers while grabbing lunch or coffee. How could I not? I think She owns everything and everyone within a 5 block radius, minimum. I'm pretty much working side by side with O Herself. I'm guessing this week, it was just too cold for Her to stop and chat as we passed on the sidewalk, but it's supposed to warm up next week when I head back Her way. So when I get the chance to talk to Her, I'll be sure to let Her know you've had your Oprahany. You're focused on Your Moment. You're ready for your pilgrimage north to your Mecca; you're able-bodied; you can afford it. You're prepared to to join a crowd of Winfreaks to demonstrate your solidarity and your loyalty to the mighty O.
