If you clean your coffee maker by running a water/baking soda mixture through it, make sure you a) measure the baking soda for proper mixture and b) make sure you run plain water through it a few times to make sure all the baking soda is out.
Otherwise your coffee with taste funky and lead you to believe your milk has gone bad and dump it out.
