Indecision 2008

I'm not sure if this is the first but unlike OCH this will most likely not be the last political post you will see on this blog. And, mine will be chalk full of my opinions. As I sit here watching the second debate of this election, I am angry. Now before you close this window or are rolling your eyes because I'm angry and you're thinking "what else is new?" I ask you, have you made up your mind?
I know I shouldn't be shocked, but forty-five minutes into the debate, not one question has been answered. What do we do about the economy? Answer: I have no flipping clue. What do we do about health care? Answer: Um um, reform it. How? Answer: I have no flipping clue because I don't know the first thing about the health care system. But then again, I don't know anything about the economy. I wish I was at this town hall in Nashville tonight so I could stand up and ask "when are you two going to stop being complete dumbasses?"
Big corporations are horrible they say. Fanny May and Freddie Mac were the start to this economic crisis. I'll quote Barack Obama, "small businesses can't get loans and if they can't get loans they can't make payroll." True, if a small business has no money they can't make payroll. BUT, can we look at the root of the problem? Why do small businesses need to continue to take out loans if they are an established business and they aren't looking at expanding? They should be making a profit and living off their profit. Hmmm, I can think of a reason they aren't making profits maybe. Walmart. We'll just focus on this one example. Walmart hires illiterate, incompetent employees with no experience or education. What does this do for our economy? We'll leave the employee qualifications aside. They hire people, any people, and they work them 34 hours a week. Why do they do this? So they don't have to provide benefits. Health care problem. They pay them minimum wage so that their employees can only afford to buy the crap that they sell. Economic problem. Look at the $700 billion dollar bailout, does anyone think that throwing money at Wall Street continuously is going to solve this crisis? I can't wait to see inflation five years, ten years. fifteen years. Good luck being able to send your kids to college. George Washington is rolling in his grave like the pig being roasted at the Wonders reunion. I miss the old days when people ran business, they made profits, and then with the profits the American people would put money back into the economy. Good times. Will someone answer my freaking questions? WHAT'S YOUR PLATFORM?

So what's my point with all this ranting? I'm voting for Ralph Nadar. And then I'm moving to New Zealand. Good game America, it was fun while it lasted.

She's baaaack...

So many issues - and MAJOR issues at that - so little answers. You're right about that, Munchkin. I do like Mitch's comments on my post about the Supreme Court Justices. That's definitely something to keep in mind as we go to the booth in November.

But, I do know this: If McCain had said "my friends" one more time I was going to have to throw my free weights through the TV.

Also, the George Washington rolling in his grave line? OMG, ROTFLMAO.

Also, also: I would have loved to see you at the debate tonight too, if for no other reason that watching you get yanked off set. That would have sent Tom Brokaw in a tizzy for sure!

If the US doesn't want Sarah Palin as VP, can Illinois get her for Governor? Let's trade Blagiovich for Palin! What do you think we'd have to give Alaska to take him?

Turns out New Zealand just passed an 800 billion bailout for their economy and their health care is worse than ours. Gas there is ƒ6.78 a gallon. Word on the streets is Caracas, Venezuela is where life is good. 12 cents a gallon ☻
