"Paper bottom drawers and the dresser with the slant..."

Preface: I took the mirror dresser out of the basement that was in the boys' room for years to be my dresser at school.

So as I'm unpacking the rest of my clothing tonight, I ran into a problem. My shirts go in the middle drawer and my pants and shorts go in the bottom drawer. I finished putting all my shirts away in the middle drawer and moved on the open the bottom drawer and...it wouldn't open. I summoned the Garbage Disposal (or the Garbage Can as Al likes to call her) and upon further inspection we realized that the bottom of the second drawer has fallen into the third drawer and is seemingly totaled. We can't get enough leverage to raise up the bottom of the second drawer and if we did, we fear that the super thin slice of wood might snap. Ergo, the shorts and pants are not accessible. Conundrum.

Epilogue: Special prize to whomever can name the tune in which the title of this post refers to.

Have we gotten into our drawers yet? Best place to start would be to take out the middle drawer. Does this drawer open? If not, remove top drawer and reach in and remove the contents of the middle drawer. Can you now remove the middle drawer? If not, reach in and try to lift the front side of the drawer bottom so you can slide it out. A butter knife or screw driver may help. If that doesn't do the trick and you don't have any better ideas, you may have to break the drawer bottom, being careful not to damage the rest of the drawer. this way you may be able to take the drawer to Home Depot( or some similar type place) and have a piece of plywood cut to fit the bottom of the drawer. This will allow access to the bottom drawer which at this time you can neatly arrange in various piles on the floor, similar to the one you use when you are home. Do you need me to ship you a pack n play to help with your organization? That way it would feel more like home. When you pull out one of the top drawers, look at it to see if the bottom slides in from the back side. This may allow you to slide the bottom of the middle drawer, or which ever drawer you can't get out, to the back of the dresser as you are pulling the drawer out. As to the song for which this post was titled would the "Paper Bottom" be refering to someone needing help with hemorrhoids. Or does it have anything to do with our music trivia from Christmas? Because if it does we didn't hear enough of some of the songs to get it. We probably need more help with this as shown by the fact that no one has posted even a guess until 4 days later. Maybe you could sing the next line. Does this have anything to do with the 80's?
